In order to practise medicine in Gipuzkoa, and provided that they only or mainly practise in this area, doctors must join GiSEO-COMGi. This must be done in person at the offices of the Gipuzkoa Medical Association.
To be admitted to the Association as a member you should have a BSc or MD in Medicine and Surgery and meet the conditions set by the Association in accordance with current legislation. If you come from another province, you must also submit a certificate of cancellation of your membership in your previous Association and demonstrate that you are not disbarred from the practice of the profession.
The procedures to be followed and documentation to be submitted vary depending on whether you have gained your degree in Spain, a member state of the European Union or other countries outside the EU.
